Regarding the recent Music Halls of Fame piece, I have since learned of the
Photo from Hall website
. The recently formed Hall has had one class of inductees, in 2023,
another class is coming later this year Check them out!
And, yes there’s Johnny Cash, in the initial class adding one more to his Hall of Fame total and adding one more to “Cowboy” Jack Clement’s total of Hall of Fame production credits. Here’s a link to the inductees in the initial class.

Readers know I’m a space porn guy who loves to look at our Universe. The other day NASA released a James Webb telescope with an updated version of the classic Hubbel telescope showing @2,500 galaxies in an area tinier than the dimmest star humans can see. All are millions of light years distant. Here’s a tiny part of one of the Webb’s shots.
But why would we want to go to another galaxy? The one we’re in has a few billion stars, is about 50,000 light years across and could surely keep us busy exploring it for eons if we survive and can develop an FTL drive.

Reality bit me pretty hard when I tripped on a parking slab and headed down to the asphalt. Fortunately, I had time to take two steps and get my hands up so my head was cushioned by that and my floppy hat. Deep cuts, bruises, abrasions on back of both hands, both elbows, knees and arm. I got the wounds cleaned up at Vanderbilt Walk-in in Lion’s Head and had X-rays there. got an antiiotic prescription, a tetanus shot and then received a CT scan at their Bellevue facility. No concussion but brain found.
It took 8 days to get the X-rays read. I went to a different Vandy Walk-in, this one for ortho incidents. I was put on a new antibiotic as I’d finished the regimen from the initial treatment. And . . . you guessed it, I turned out to b allergic to the sulfa-based medication. I spent about a week running a low-grade fever before I saw my PCP, Dr. Laida Sloan, who immediately diagnosed me and got the correct medication for me.
As I am almost never sick, I was pretty freaked out. That spill could have taken me down for the count – it was only quick reactions and generally good physical condition that saved me. That and the grace of a higher power I reckon.
Glad to hear you’re doing better after your fall, John.
