Live at Springwater Superr Club & Lounge
My version of “M.T.A.’ the classic song written by my aunt, Bess Lomax Hawes and Jacqueline Steiner in 1949, will be up on all the stREAMING services Friday, May 23, joining ten previous digital slices from my AMERICAN FOLK SONGS CD. The Kingston Trio had a big pop hit with “M.T.A.” and I use the ominous intro Nick Reynolds created.

At 2:00 p.m., CDD you can tune in to KOOP91.7 or KOOP.org to hear and see my interview for Rag Radio with Thorne Dreyer. He was my boss at Space City, Houston’s “underground” magazine in the early ‘70s. We had a wide-ranging chat about my current endeavors and a rundown of the five John Lomaxes and their contributions, including John Lomax V, a reporter for the Houston Chronicle – Thorne’s father was an Editor there way back when, so a nice bit of circularity there.
And I sang “The Cowboy’s Dream” so be ready for that!
